CELEBRATE THE "LUCK OF THE IRISH" THROUGHOUT MARCH AT FLAMINGO LAS VEGAS

LAS VEGAS - Celebrate the luck of the Irish throughout March at Flamingo Las Vegas with draft green beers, Irish cuisine, two-for-one drinks, partying, prime rib and lobster specials, 99-cent corned beef slider sandwiches and nightly prize drawings. The Paradise Garden Buffet's St. Patrick's Weekend Feast will be served March 15-17 from 4:30 to 10 p.m. daily. Priced at $15.95 per person ($7.95 for children 12 years and younger), the feast offers more than 100 seasonal menu items and seating that overlooks the Flamingo waterfalls, wildlife habitat and lagoon. A few of delicious dishes to be featured are: lobster bisque soup, Alaskan crab legs on ice, chilled shrimp cocktail, shepherd's pie, Guinness beef stew, corned steamship round of beef, roast prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, baked filet of capensas and Atlantic salmon, Guinness fish and chips and braised veal short ribs. A wide selection of fresh fruits and salads, breads and other entr?es also will be served. For dessert, guests may build their own ice cream sundae or choose from a variety of seasonal pies, cakes, puddings and pastries, including sugar-free desserts.

St. Patrick's Day Weekend March 15-17, Lindy's 24-hour coffee shop at the Flamingo will serve a special menu from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Guests will enjoy a three-course dinner of potato leek soup, roast steamship round of corned beef, steamed cabbage with bacon, roasted red potatoes, and a choice of Irish whiskey pie or Bailey's Irish Cream cheesecake. Flamingo's snack bar will serve 99-cent corned beef slider sandwiches throughout March.

For fine dining, the Flamingo Room offers prime rib, crab and whole Maine lobster specials nightly from 5 to 11 p.m. The prime rib dinner, which includes a generous serving of prime beef, double-baked potato, fresh vegetables, bread basket and butter, is priced at $11.95. Diners may add a half-pound of Alaskan king crab legs to the dinner for an additional $7.95, or add a whole one-pound Maine lobster to the prime rib dinner for $9.95.

March 21-23, Flamingo will celebrate with "The Greatest Week of College Basketball" Party from 8 a.m. to the end of the last NCAA basketball game each day. Partygoers will watch all the televised NCAA tournament basketball games on giant-screen televisions in the Sunset Ballroom, receive a souvenir party T-shirt, and enjoy a hot dog and a cold draft beer - all for the $10 ticket price. Sports wagering will be available outside the ballroom. Tickets are on sale at the Flamingo Las Vegas box offices. For wee hours revelers, Flamingo offers a late-night lounge Thursday-Sunday from midnight to 4 a.m. in the Second City Theater. A DJ entertains with favorite dance music in an intimate atmosphere, and there is no cover charge or drink minimum. Happy hour is celebrated daily from 4 to 7 p.m. in all Flamingo bars with two-for-one pricing on bar drinks.

Those who sign up for a free Park Place Connection club card while at the Flamingo will receive a free roll on the casino's new "Connection Ball," beginning March 9. Participants may win a gift and drawing ticket(s) for a nightly 8 p.m. drawing in the casino. Ten drawing winners will be chosen nightly, with prizes including $500; show tickets to see Gladys Knight, The Amazing Johnathan and The Second City; future Flamingo hotel accommodations and several Flamingo gifts.

Just north of the Flamingo, O'Sheas casino will celebrate the luck of the Irish all month long. O'Sheas Pub Bar features $1.95 drink specials on draft Guinness and Harp Lager beers, Caroline's Irish Cream and Kilbeggan Irish Whisky, as well as a chance to win a free trip to Ireland. O'Sheas also offers 99-cent corned beef slider sandwiches from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily at O'Sheas Delight snack bar.

Hotel guests and visitors are invited to join the celebration. (Must be 21 years old to participate in all activities except dining.)
