Shared cards games, or Community cards games, are called that way because a few cards that are put on the table are used by all players. Usually the players receive less than a whole hand of cards as privet cards, and use the cards on the table to complete their best hand. The number of cards put in the middle of the table or give to the players is variant, and changes from one kind of game to another, but the principle stayes the same. In most games a betting round takes place before the players use the communal cards, based only on the cards they were given initially, and a few more betting rounds happen with each shared card revealed.
